Hoping cooperation. — The newly developed long-fibre direct injection moulding process allows to process glass fibres up to 100 mm in length and thus enables new applications to be developed in the lightweight construction sector.

    With the long-fibre direct injection moulding, which was developed by ARBURG togethr with the Kunststoff-Zentrum SKZ (Lüdenscheid/Germany) it is possible to produce thinner-walled moulded parts while maintaining the same strength. The glass fibres, which are cut to a maximum length of 100 mm are added directly into the plasticiser cylinder of an injection moulding machine via a dual-shaft side feeder.

    Fibrle length, fibre quantity and material combinations can be combined individually. A hydraulic injection moulding machine ALLROUNDER 820 S produces from a homogenized material two 330 g airbag housings in a cycle time of just 70 seconds. A vertical entry robotic system MULTILIFT SELECT retrieves the injected parts and places them in a box.

    Mit dem Langfaser-Direktspritzgießen, das ARBURG zusammen mit dem Kunststoff-Zentrum SKZ entwickelt hat, kann man bei gleicher Festigkeit dünnwandigere Spritzteile herstellen Auf bis zu 100 mm Länge zugeschnittene Glasfasern werden inline über eine zweiwellige Seitenbeschickung direkt in den Plastifizierzylinder zudosiert. Faserlänge, Faseranteil und Materialkombination können variiert werden. Eine hydraulische Spritzgießmaschine ALLROUNDER 820 S fertigt aus dem homogenisierten Material in einer Zykluszeit von 70 s zwei je 330 g schwere Airbag-Gehäuse. Die Spritzteile werden von einem vertikal eingreifenden Robot-System MULTILIFT SELECT entnommen und abgelegt.
