    This video consists of metal casting 2 motor end shields from aluminium (cast on 09th November 2016) and also metal casting 1 aluminium motor bracket (cast on 11th December 2016) which shows the full process from briefly making the Petrobond sand mould using the custom-made pattern that was made by myself from perspex and aluminium, to pouring the aluminium into the sand mould and then pulling out the finished casting from the sand mould 10 minutes after the molten aluminium was poured.

    Also in the middle part of this video shows the motor end shields after both motor end shield castings were cleaned up and made perfect using the same filing machine that was built by me for this purpose (see my other videos for more brief details on this filing machine).

    The motor I am building in this video and the motor bracket plate which are shown being cast in this video are for a micro milling machine project which I am working on – The small milling machine which I am building will have a similar belt drive setup just like the Emco Unimat SL /DB200 lathes.

    I will upload more videos during 2017 showing this electric motor working and I will also upload a video of this milling machine when this micro milling machine is up and running so do check out my channel regularly!
