S1 Silicone Puppet – Body Mold Tutorial demonstrates the method used in making the S1 Silicone Puppet Mold.
I worked with my wife, artist Eva Funderburgh, to cast a replica of the Apple of Eden from the Assassin’s Creed video games out of bronze. This video shows the process for actually pouring the molten bronze into the molds in order to create the piece. Before this, the shapes were sculpted in wax, and then plaster was poured around them, and the wax was melted out. Then, bronze is poured into the empty space left behind. Once the bronze cools (in a matter of minutes) the plaster can be broken away, and the pieces can be cut from their sprue system and finished.
