How to prevent High Rise Building fires from getting too large.
When the building is ready to be demolished, the units that make up the apartments can be sold at auction. People will purchase them and place them in other buildings with identical tracks or simply put a roof on top of them, for single family dwellings. The idea is that all the manpower and materials that are used in building high-rise building, should not one day be wasted in a gigantic pile of rubble created by an implosion followed by spectators clapping hands in a toxic dust cloud. As you know, the best marble, glass, wood and steel that money can buy are imported from all over the world to build some high-rise buildings. The locals put up with the noise, dust and other inconveniences (like no place to park your car) for months and years while the structure is being built. After the implosions, the locals get nothing out of that pile of rubble and must prepare themselves for the next round of construction related inconveniences. Then as you drive twenty miles out of the city, you start seeing buildings that look like they have not stood straight for 500 years while city folks destroy geometrically correct structures just for reasons farmers cannot understand.

At the center of the building, you will find a round elevator shaft with an elevator that can carry the units discussed above but also that is capable of rotating 360 degrees. That elevator will rotate to insert or to remove units. I rest my case.
