  • This short video by Haworth Castings shows the key steps in the pouring process of aluminium sand castings. Areas covered are the preparation of the molten aluminium in the furnace, the creation of a DAB for metal composition testing in a spectrometer, the removal of gases via a rotary degasser, the pour itself whereby the molten metal is poured into the mould cavity via a controlled running system and finally the cooling of the metal before the sand is removed leaving the unfinished casting ready to be finished.
