This video covers the removal and installation process for a lawn tractor engine with basic accessories and electrical connections.
Consider these items are compatible before swapping.
Electrical- are the connectors similar or different you may have to re-wire them. Charging and lighting systems as well as PTO. If you have electric clutch then you need an engine with additional alternator coil capacity to power the clutch
Fuel- Gravity or pump fed? If you have a pump system then you need and engine that can run or take a fuel pump attachment. If gravity fed, then its fine
Throttle cables- make sure the throttle cables can reach the engine accessories as well as power the high-low and choke options. Some tractors have two cables one for throttle and one for choke. Most engines will allow you to use one or two cables for throttle and choke.
Crankshaft- make sure crankshaft length and width match the pulley you are using. They are generally standard sizes but always double check.

    Electrical Notes:
Blk/White stripe (chassis) connects to blk (engine) and feeds the engine coil shutoff circuit
Orange (chassis) connects to orange (engine) and feeds the headlight circuit
Blue (chassis) connects to gray (engine) and loops over to connect to red (engine) this circuit charges the battery and turns on the fuel shutoff solenoid located on the bottom of the carburetor (makes a click sound)
White wire-not used, only for engines with twin cylinders

The constant power issue is regarding the fuel shutoff solenoid located at the bottom of the carburetor. Not to be confused with the starter motor solenoid, which is located next to the gas tank with 2 large red wires. On some wiring harnesses the blue wire loop can provide constant 12 volts to the fuel shutoff solenoid and drain the battery. This chassis has an on/off circuit on the blue
wire which prevents constant 12v, so you can leave it
    as is.
